A mapping tool and consultation pack to help educational developers and programme teams align accredited teaching and learning provision with Ireland’s National Professional Development Framework. The March 2019 pack includes a PDF guide and an editable Excel workbook for mapping programme and module learning outcomes, assessment methods and programme philosophy to the Framework’s five domains.
Supports a structured, reflective review of professional development programmes and modules. Programme teams can use the mapping workbook to record evidence of alignment with the National Professional Development Framework, identify areas for further development and guide discussion about curriculum and assessment.
The accompanying guide explains a traffic-light approach to judging the strength of alignment. It includes instructions for programme and module mapping and a consultation activity through which participants and graduates can reflect on their professional learning.
