About
Learn more about the HEA Teaching & Learning Conference 2024.
Hosted by the Higher Education Authority (HEA), the HEA Teaching & Learning Conference 2024 brought together leaders, educators, researchers, policymakers, and those supporting teaching and learning to discuss the critical challenges and opportunities in teaching and learning today. This year’s theme, “Driving Changes in Teaching and Learning through Policy and Innovation,” focused on the dynamic intersection of policy and practice in shaping higher education.
The conference took place within the broader context of the HEA’s ongoing national consultation to renew Ireland’s strategy for teaching and learning in higher education. The consultation aims to engage stakeholders from across the sector to identify strategic priorities for the coming years. This consultation builds on the impactful work of the National Forum for the Enhancement of Teaching and Learning, which has fostered collaboration, innovation, and excellence across the sector since its establishment in 2012.
Attendees had the opportunity to network with peers, exchange ideas, and share best practices on key topics such as policy innovation, advancing teaching and learning practices, and addressing the evolving needs of higher education.
