The proposed project is a collaboration between SETU and our partners at Kamla Nehru Mahavidyalaya University (KNMU) in Nagpur, India. This internationalisation-at-home mini-project will consist of: Introduction Webinar Kicking off with a recorded webinar, with Dr. Adriana Neves (lecturer in Biomolecules, SETU) and Professor Sandhya Moghe (Head of Department of Biotechnology and Professor at KNMU) will introduce their respective universities and departments to give context to the students. They will also present five challenges for the participating students of creating nutraceuticals products. Collaborative Tasks Students will be grouped into teams(two from SETU with two from KNMU). Each team will work together on specific tasks for the development of nutraceutical products. This tasks will not only be linked with biotechnology and pharma, but will also involve product development incentivising work in a interdisciplinary manner. Final Seminar and Competition The project will finish with a seminar where each team will present their nutraceutical product. Staff and students from both Universities will evaluate the presentations and vote in the best product. Prizes will be awarded to the top two teams, with prizes given to the team members from both SETU and KNMU(prizes for KNMU will be send via post). All students will also receive a certificate signed by the two universities showing their work in an international collaborative project. This collaboration aligns with Sustainable Development Goals(SDGs) by promoting good health and well-being(SDG3) through the development of nutraceuticals, quality education(SDG4) via innovative international learning experiences, reduced inequalities(SDG10) by incentivising inclusivity of cultural and institutional boundaries, and partnerships for the goals(SDG17) by establishing a joint international collaboration for future. The project supports SETU’s goals of internationalisation with benefits for both staff and students. The use of online technologies(webinars and virtual meetings) encourages inclusivity by making participation accessible to all, fosters digital literacy and collaboration skills.
