Building capacity for outdoor learning ESD practices in teacher education

About this initiative

The aim of the project was to build capacity of DCU/IoE staff across early childhood, primary, post-primary, FE and HE, to enhance and inform outdoor teaching and learning pedagogies for ESD through harnessing on-campus natural affordances. At the heart of this proposal is the importance of direct experiences in local places, from which reliable knowledge of global relationships can emerge.
