Description

Demonstration of basic laboratory techniques, with the ability to stop, rewind and watch again. Aimed at 1st year students with no chemistry or limited experience

Benefit of this resource and how to make the best use of it

Currently, students are given a live demonstration of how to use basic equipment in the lab. While relatively straightforward, these techniques are the foundations of good lab practice. With current resources, there is limited time to demonstrate these techniques. These videos allow the students to watch and learn the technique before they come into the lab. They also allow the student the ability to stop, rewind, rewatch and gain confidence in the technique before they first use it, and also on an ongoing basis.
