Coding theory is a major component of Applied Algebra. It has many applications in the mathematics of communications and has many links with other scientific disciplines, such as electrical engineering and computer science. Coding theory arises in almost every imaginable digital communications and storage system. In UCD, it is taught at the undergraduate level in the module MATH30180 An Introduction to Coding Theory.
About this initiative
This project aimed to create a digital e-learning module for textiles. The key outputs included 10 instructional videos covering Standard Operating Procedures for the safe use of equipment specifically designed for textiles. The intention of the project was to address the gap within the textiles area as there were no available resources for textiles on the National Forum for T&L database. These videos aim to support classroom-based instruction and further enhance textile safety practice.
