Departments at SETU and focuses on Education for Sustainable Development (ESD) and Digital Transformation. Project Overview: The initiative will consist of three interactive workshops showcasing the latest developments and innovations within the Engineering Department at SETU. These workshops will serve as a platform for knowledge exchange, promoting inclusive principles and practices, and encouraging interdisciplinary collaboration. The workshops will be written and led by 4th year Engineering students assisted by Engineering lecturers Implementation Plan: 1. Workshop Series: o Workshop 1: Introduction to Sustainable Engineering Practices ▪ Focus on sustainable development goals (SDGs) and their application in engineering. Workshop 2: Digital Transformation in Engineering ▪ Highlighting the integration of digital tools and technologies in engineering education and practice. Workshop 3: Innovative Engineering Solutions ▪ Showcasing student projects and research that address real-world challenges. These workshops will be delivered to FET students by SETU students. Student Competition: Competition for SETU students to design innovative engineering solutions that align with the themes of sustainability and digital transformation. Prizes will be awarded to the top designs, incentivising participation and creativity, judged by FET students Alignment with SATLE Funding Criteria: Education for Sustainable Development (ESD): The workshops will embed opportunities for collaboration and peer learning on ESD, focusing on transformative pedagogies and interdisciplinary approaches. Digital Transformation: The initiative will leverage digital tools and technologies, supporting the development of digital and open teaching and learning practices. Academic Integrity: The competition will promote academic integrity by encouraging original and innovative student work.
